Use and Care When using diamond sharpeners for the first time, you may notice a rough surface. This is a normal part of the manufacturing process and will smoothen over time without affecting performance. As the diamond surface wears down, more diamond grits are exposed, resulting in a faster sharpening experience. It is recommended to sharpen dry without the need for messy oils. Here are some key points to remember: - Initial break-in: Start with a coarser grit for rough work and transition to a finer grit for fine work - Clean and dry the surface before and after use - Store the sharpener in a dry place

How to Use 1. Select the appropriate diamond side based on the blade's condition. 2. Place the blade on the heel of the diamond sharpener at the desired sharpening angle and PUSH the blade AWAY from you, as if carving a thin slice off the top of the diamond surface. 3. Repeat the PUSHING stroke several times, maintaining a consistent sharpening angle. 4. Sharpen the other side of the blade by placing it on the end of the diamond sharpener and PULLING the blade TOWARD you. 5. Repeat the PULLING stroke the same number of times as on the opposite side of the blade. 6. Continue sharpening both sides until the blade feels truly sharp. Use the finer grit side for touch-ups or a dressed edge.
